The protagonist of the sequel trilogy is the character Rey, whom we first meet in ‘ Star Wars: The Force Awakens‘. Unfortunately, I'm from Brazil and nor TFA or RO or TLJ are on Netflix here.‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ is the second film of the ‘Star Wars’ sequel trilogy, and it released to great critical and commercial acclaim in 2017. I bet many Youtubers who hate TLJ just watched it one or maybe two times. People think that a movie will only be good if it is great from the very first viewing and that multiple viewings is just bullshit or failure. Hard to get, not for everyone, need multiple viewings, just like reading a classic from literature, just like watching an arthouse film, just like listening to some SW songs (Four Chords that Made a Million, Collapse the Light into Earth, Lazarus, Detonation, Song of Unborn etc). And then when I realize how good the movie is, despite some of its flaws, and how almost all of the complaints about it was just bullshit, I knew this is a work of art. I was so conflicted when I first watched it that I didn't say anything until came back to home, it was so different from my experience with TFA and RO. It's not the best Star Wars movie ever, but it was the most unique experience that I will never forget. The Last Jedi was really the most unique experience that I had in the theater in 2017 alongside with Blade Runner 2049.
Recently I watched it at home and it was even better, I don't care for what people says.
The second viewing I thought it was excellent
